ULBS

Battery System Design

Universal Lithium Battery Supply (ULBS)’s battery systems are designed to be reliable, safe, and high performing in any application. ULBS is able to accomplish this by using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells, modular design, built-in heat film, and a proprietary BMS. This is all packaged in a coated steel case that allows end-users to easily upgrade their existing electric industrial equipment using ULBS lithium-ion battery packs.

ULBS

LiFePO₄ CELLS

ULBS has partnered with a top global manufacturer of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells to provide our customers with reliable lithium-ion battery packs. Since using these cells, we have had ZERO cell faliures to date in our battery packs. This means that our customers confidently power their equipment knowing that the ULBS lithium-ion battery packs will be safe and reliable.

ULBS

Modular Design

ULBS uses modules to build the lithium-ion battery packs. These modules are made up of individual cells that are laser welded to a busbar. This ensures that the connection between cells within the module are reliable. By using a modular design, ULBS is able to rapidly build custom batteries that meet the different specifications that industrial equipment requires. In addition, this design allows for the battery packs to easily be serviced, should that be required.

ULBS

Built-in Heat Film

The lithium-ion battery packs from ULBS feature built-in heat management. ULBS integrates heating film to each of the modules as a part of the standard design. This allows for ULBS’ lithium-ion battery packs to succesfully work in temperatures as low as -22°F making it perfect for freezer/cold storage applications and working in outdoor environments.

ULBS

proprietary BMS

All of ULBS’ battery packs feature a proprietary Battery Management System (BMS) to ensure the safety and reliability of the battery pack. This system constantly monitors and stores data on the state of the battery to ensure its optimal performance and safety. The BMS monitors several things including the Total Voltage, Individual Cell Voltage, Bus Current, Module Temperature, SOC Estimation, Balance Management, Communication, Thermal Management & Overcharge/Discharge Protection. By monitoring these, the BMS is able to give end-users peace of mind knowing that the ULBS battery pack will perform when they need it.
